I made this piecework jacket using fabrics from 17 different vintage kimono and happi, including lining materials, patches, and reinforcements. The collar reprises fabrics from eleven of these same garments. Large sections of hand-stitched boro repair work appear on the back left shoulder and the right front shoulder. There are also many plant indigo-dyed fabric pieces as well as woven stripes, stenciled stripes, and stenciled kanji. 

The lining is deadstock Belgian linen that I over-dyed. There are also two interior pockets, slits on the side seams, and ties in front. The width is 24," the length is 29" and the dress form has a 40" chest.
