For this piecework coat I limited myself to fabrics from three deconstructed happi coats. The fabric pieces are bigger and their arrangement is more asymmetrical than previous items. On the right arm is a fully intact circular mon, and on the right shoulder are unusual stenciled markers and notations that were hidden by the collar placement of the original happi coat. I've always been fascinated with fabric selvedge information, and this is the Japanese equivalent.

The lining is over-dyed, dead stock Belgian linen. The width is 24," the length is 28," and the sleeves are 24." There are slits on the side seams and ties in front, in addition to two interior pockets and a hanging loop. The fit is equivalent to a snug medium or a roomy small.
