All the fabric pieces for this bomber jacket came from one vintage Japanese happi coat that I deconstructed. The grey geometric motifs ran along the bottom of the coat, the small white kanji characters ran down the collar, and the bright blue kanji emblem appeared on the back of the coat. The fabrics are all cotton and dyed with plant indigo.

After assembling large piecework panels, I quilted them onto the dead stock quilt lining, using a squiggle pattern inspired by a vintage US Air Force jacket liner. There is one interior pocket on the left side. The length is 24," the sleeves are 31." and the dress form has a 40" chest.
